Do you do group classes?
Yes, group classes can be arranged for 3 dogs or more. Classes are available for puppies and adult dogs. All participating dogs must be on a leash and harness and fully vaccinated to ensure everyone’s safety.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept card payments, cash, and EFT. All invoicing and receipts are provided electronically for your convenience.
What is socialisation?
Socialisation is far more than just allowing your dog to meet other dogs. It’s about exposing your dog to a variety of everyday environments, sights, sounds, and smells. This can include cars, trucks, people running, bicycles, and more. Proper socialisation helps build your dog’s confidence and creates a more balanced temperament.
Will I leave my dog with you to train them?
No, training is more effective when done in a familiar environment, such as your home. This approach makes things easier for the dog and ensures they learn in their natural surroundings. As the trainer, I work with both you and your dog to achieve the best results. We will also do some training out of the home to ensure we train with distractions.
Do you do pet sitting?
No, unfortunately, we do not offer pet-sitting services. Our focus is exclusively on dog training.
What are breed-specific activities?
Breed-specific activities are exercises or tasks that align with what your dog was originally bred to do. These activities provide natural mental stimulation and engagement. For example, scent work is great for basset hounds and other scent-oriented breeds. Tailoring activities to your dog’s breed can greatly enhance their well-being.
How long are the training sessions?
Training sessions typically last between 45 minutes to an hour. This allows sufficient time to work on key skills without overwhelming your dog or puppy.
What is positive reinforcement training?
Positive reinforcement training focuses on rewarding good behaviour to encourage your dog to repeat it. This method is humane, effective, and helps build a strong bond between you and your dog.
Do you provide personalised training plans?
Yes, each training plan is customised based on your dog’s personality, age, breed, and specific challenges. We also consider your goals as a dog owner to ensure the training is effective and practical.
Can the whole family be involved in training?
Absolutely! Training works best when all family members are consistent with verbal cues and techniques. We encourage everyone to participate to create a harmonious environment for your dog. In the sessions however, we need one person doing the training.
Which areas do you service?
We service the West Coast area of the Western Cape.Though for less complex issues, online support is available.
